Under the motto “dime con quién andas,” from January 24th to 26th, 2024, the second edition of Derivas took place, organized by the Superior School of Design of the Region of Murcia. The event featured conferences by professionals in graphic design, interior design, fashion, and product design, aiming to position Murcia as a space for reflection on design and its multiple facets.
Our creative director, Ramón Soler, participated with the presentation “Acting without commission, activating empathy.”

At Buenaventura, we remain committed to showing design students the importance of breaking with conventions, moving away from the common areas where design usually operates, and escaping purely commercial schemes. These are our premises for building our own way of understanding and practicing design, which moves away from trends. These premises crystallize in the concept of social design, a way of approaching design that places the individual at the center, with an empathetic and rational perspective, aware of its transformative capacity.
Graphic design has the necessary means to convey messages that positively impact society, something that has become a moral imperative for us: if we have a voice, we will use it.
